Meridel Rubenstein and I worked together in th early ’80’s on several projects, the slowscan exchange for the 12th Paris Beinnale, the Brussels-Boston
slowscan exchange as well as a couple of video tapes. During that time she also took photos of myself and my family, a beautiful record of a certain
time in our lives.
The first set is of my daughter Giulietta and myself taken during a photo workshop given by Meridel at the Arles Photo Festival in 1981.
The second batch with Giulie and my son Jon was done the following year during a visit to Santa Fe where I was doing a documentary on New Mexico
photographers for a show in Paris. At that time Meridel and I worked on that video as well as a documentary on one of her photo series on low-riders in New Mexico.
