France-Japan

After the work done with the art schools in Tokyo, we continued to develop our exchanges with Japan and began projects with other Japanese cities, notably Fukui and the Video Art Festival organised by Keigo Yamamoto.  Hiroshi Maeda, a Japanese artist and designer based in Paris, and I traveled often to Japan to build the links, meet more people and explain the project to more and more schools.

At the same time, on the Paris end, we worked closely with France-Cable-Radio, an arm of France-Telecom, to solve the techncial problems in linking the two countries over IP.  The photos here show the team of engineers from FCR and the team of artistis from ENSAD working with them on the connections.
